History of the First Century Gospel Church in Nigeria


The First-Century Gospel Church (whose founder is late Pastor Ambrose Clark of Philadelphia PA USA) was received and established in Nigeria in the 1920s through the instrumentality of late Pastor G.M. Ikeazor , Bro. Patrick Onwugbolu, Emekebe, Ofole, Ejikeme , and Ehulwulobe all from Obosi and Onitsha town respectively .

Late Pastor Ikeazor (who incidentantally became the first indigenous Senior/Representative Pastor of the Church) and his colleague were on a capentry trade to Lagos colony around Badagry Western part of the country when they were touched by the Holy spirit to pick one or two pieces of literature title “H134. The step of faith “thrown out by a Sailor who carried it from United States of America to West Africa without the knowledge of late Pastor A. Clark . From that piece of literature many people came in contact with the Truth in both Ghana, Togo and Nigeria.

The National Headquarters of the Church in Nigeria is at Enugu – The First Century Gospel Church 114B (Behind 53 Obiagu Road Ogui New Layout Enugu).

What the Church teaches and practices is as its name which is contained in her STATEMENT OF BELIEF, WHAT WE BELIEF AND WHY and other SERMONS/LITERATURES.

The Church is running Secondary Schools in Nigeria and Ghana. There are two campuses of her school in Nigeria thus: The First Century Gospel Comprehensive Secondary Schools:-

a) Mbu Akpoti, Mbu, Isi-Uzo L.G.A Enugu State.
b) Ikembara, Ikeduru L.G.A Imo State
c) Odorkor, Ghana
